The Franschhoek Opening
The Last Word in Luxury Opens in Franschhoek
The newest addition to portfolio of The Last Word Resort Residences is The Franschhoek, which opens to the public on Monday November 22, 2004. This historic residence lies in the heart of the Franschhoek village, just a few minutes walk from several excellent restaurants and the wine estates which give Franschhoek its reputation as South Africa’s food and wine capital.
Elegantly restored in the Cape Huguenot tradition, The Franschhoek is a luxurious dream home which offers privacy, tranquillity and personal security replete with five-star comfort. It offers six luxurious double rooms which open onto a small shaded garden. All en-suite bathrooms have travertine tiles, double marble vanities and generous baths.
Vanessa Bischhop plays host to guests at The Franschhoek. She is a Capetonian who has lived abroad for 13 years, at first in Amsterdam and then in London. Until recently she was restaurant manager of The Avenue where she worked with executive chef Rowley Leigh, but was enticed home by the opportunity to live in the Franschhoek valley, to promote South Africa by The Last Word's unique concept.
Contact reservations for opening specials running until March 2005.
